New Year New Me

Welcome 2015!

 

           

When the New Year comes, around it seems like the perfect time for self-improvement.

            Lives in the year 2014 are now just memories, whether it was good or bad, happy or sad. As a day goes by and clock ticks before the midnight of December 31^st 2014 my minds starts to think of the past, realizing what have I done right or wrong to my life. Looking back at the time, I was addicted to face book, I sued it on my phone and it was the most viewed site on my computer. I almost failed at my first periodical test because I was on face book when I was supposed to be studying. Today, New Year, New Life, and it’s are for change. All I want is to focus in my studies, especially now that I’m a graduating student of high school, and I will be in College soon. First, I just want to use internet if needed, I will be thrifty; I will not just buy and buys some stuffs, finish all my requirements before playing gadgets or making fun with friends. And of course I will act as a true lady and not just a childish one because I realize that I’ve grown up a lot, and I must go through it. That’s it; I just hope I can do it.

            For anyone who’s serious about resolutions, making them is brave. We just need to do some honest assessment of what’s working and not working in our lives, we need to consider where we want to head I these year. New Year resolution isn’t meant to change your life, they’re just a nice tradition, but serious resolutions mean the year is going to be a challenge for you to be a better person.

"Essence of Christmas"

Joy to the world, the lord has come. Let earth receive her king. One of the most common song played and sing by all ages.

Christmas, what does it mean? Children awaits Christmas because of the presents they will get. But Christmas is not the time of gift giving alone. It is time of love and unity. Christmas is a season where we should celebrate the birth of our savior. Celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ does not mean having a lot of food, during the Noche Buena, wearing a new clothes and shoes, receiving gifts or attending Christmas parties. Nowadays especially the young generations, this is how they elaborate Christmas. We should be reminded that Christmas is the season where we should give time to Jesus Christ. It is right to give thanks to Him to all the blessings, He showered upon us. Christmas is giving and forgiving. Material things are just secondary. We should bear in our minds what Jesus Christ died for us. We can only repay him by doing good especially to others.

For me, the true essence of Christmas is, it’s a time to show love, sharing, reconciliation, and relationships. A time for getting together, and a time to remember of all the sacrifices of Jesus Christ and to greet him a happy birthday. 

Climate Change

   

 Climate change is one factor of many diseases which destroy our health and environment. The environment is made up of land water and air. Many plants and animals are found on land; others live in water; and some fly in the air. Land is soil, rocks, mountains and others landforms. Water is oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, streams and ponds. The layers of air around form atmosphere,  a mixtures of several gases such as nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide and others.

                Changes happen around us all the time. Changes may take hours or days to complete. Weather is an example. Air temperature and amount of water vapor in the atmosphere vary. Sometimes it is warm, at other times, cool. There may be so much water in the air at one time and very little at another time. There are also activities of people that may cause changes in the environment like using chemical substances that pollutes lands, water and air, quarrying trees, using dynamite for fishing and burning plastics, instead we should recycle these materials for our own good. In cities, factories are built to produce goods to be sold at high prices .These factories are sources of pollutants such as chemicals poisoning the rivers and black smoke causing respiratory diseases. All these activities contribute climate change that can affect our health. 

                Clean environment is healthy place to live in, free from pollution and diseases. Therefore we should do something, we should help another. Avoid using chemical substance that destroy our environment and avoid doing something that may cause a dirty environment.

English month

          All over the world has their own language, but we must also know how to speak our international language which is English.

          One of our problem in the Philippines is many Filipinos can’t express themselves in English language, that’s why when they land a job there are very poor in English proficiency and even in the other country. They cannot find a good job because of this problem, English proficiency is very important we should love this language, use it properly because it is very useful in everyday life. We should put in our hearts and mind that it is true that we our national language but we can proficient in English and literate through education, we can gain communication skills and be a wide reader because this is one way of learning good communication skills.

          Through English we can be successful especially when we our in other country. So guys bring it on, use English language because it helps a lot in achieving our dreams.

          

Equal Rights Equal Opportunities

Everyone of us has the right to be threaten equally and have equal opportunity. But what di you think will happen if there is no equality and opportunities for each and everyone?

We know that some people are not treated fairly, and because of this many Filipinos were forced to go abroad because there is no opportunity to them to find a job. But on the other hand, men and women has equal rights and opportunities in all aspects, if men can do, women can do also, men and women should be given equal rights and opportunities also in landing jobs. Many our discourage to apply a job because they were not given an equal opportunity because many offices apply the policy; whom you know, not what you know and this policy is unfair on the part of the applicant who deserved and qualified to the position. How I wish this policy should not be apply so that we will be given an equal rights and opportunity. In all profession’s, there are men and women, if all people given an equal right and opportunity, I am sure our country will be develop a progressive country and our countrymen will not be forced to go abroad as domestics helpers, and they will apply their knowledge and skills to our land.

God created and treated us equally, so men should be given equal rights and opportunities to all aspects in our society as well as in our country.

Reflection

In the second quarter I gained a lot of knowledge, information and experience in my ICT subject.

     At the beginning I really wondered what the term “Notepad”. I don’t know about this and no idea at all. Until I learned that this was all about creating web design. This is very interesting and important on the part of all the students having computer subject. And with this subject, I am improving a lot and I think I got an interest to take a course related with this subject because this is a big help to us students and, I am sure that we can apply all the knowledge we gain when we are in college.

     And for this coming third quarter I am exited to learn more about computer which is in demand nowadays. And I’m sure this is again interesting and knowledgeable. 

Intramurals

Intramurals develop the different skills in all aspects in life emotionally, mentally, spiritually and most especially physically.

Intramurals purpose in schools is to offer an opportunity for voluntary participation in varsity type program. Intramurals literally means “ written on the walls”, in other words an intramural program is one that carried on within the confines of school institutions. Intramurals are fun, recreation, social and competitive in our school. It is the most awaited of the students especially the athletes. It’s also the happiest event in our school, where in the athletes in every year level compete in the different games like ball games, track and field and others. In intrams we can say that we can recognize the best athlete in the school, it’s also the time for resting our books. It’s tiring activity but it’s exciting, where in we can cheer our idols.

“Fear is what stops you, courage is what keeps you going”. In every competition there’s a winner and a loser, and for those who make it they have to take the ham and bacon, and who can’t make it better luck next time. Just bear in mind that there’s a time for everything, the most important is your experience.

My Teacher My Hero

     

Teachers, what easily comes to our mind when we mentioned it? They are the one who teaches us in many ways, giving new knowledge for their lectures and lessons, giving their "sermons" in our bad attitudes in the class, but I thanked them for that because it's a way for us to be a better student.

       Without teachers we are not able to go to school and we can't learn what supposed to be learn and we can't be successful in life without them. Doctors, engineers, lawyers, nurses would not be successful without the help of teachers. Going to school with the help of teachers we have lot's of experience, knowledge that we can apply in our daily life. Their hardships, sacrifices, kindness in teaching us we are able to become a doctors, engineers, lawyers, nurses and other professions, and teachers are one of the reason why we are able to achieve our goals in life.

       We should thank them for waht they have contibuted to us being a second parents, being a model and responsible for all the times. That's why they deserve a celebration considering the teachers month, that they could be able to play games such as volleyball, forget once their task being a teacher and remove their stressful feelings instead they should enjoy the teacher's day. And I salute all teachers, for being a hero to us.

 Health is wealth that is why we have to take care ourself. Our health is very important, everything is useless if you are sick and suffering illness.

       We should then do something against illness. Vaccination is one way of preventing illness, let's choose the food we eat because sometimes illness came from the food we eat from the environment. Therefore we should be aware of what is happening to our environment involving our health. Maintain cleanliness to ourself, at home, and our surrounding. Avoid burning plastic containers because it is the greatest source of pollution thats makes our surroundings dirty. This is very simple and easy to do in order to maintain cleanliness. Proper disposed of garbage should be maintain.

       Every person's goal is to live long and healthy, that's why let us join hand and hand to fight illnesses and I'm sure true Science we can discover the best medicine against illnesses. Be aware and help one another so that we can have a healthy place to live in, and we should apply the GO FORWARD which means:

G-od first
O-utlook
F-amily suppoirt
O-xygen and sunlight
R-oot out the bad habit
W-ater
A-ctive life
R-est and reaction
D-iet, for a healthy living.

Hero

     

Hero is said to be smart, brave and almost perfect but that is a half true. All of us can be a hero in our simple way as long as you have a good heart. You who is your great hero?

       Me? My hero is no other than my own loving mother. Yes, she is a fighter, why I said so, well they came from a very poor family but inspite of this she did all her best to finished her studies. Upon thier graduation she worked immediately in Manila while waiting their teachers board result and she's very lucky because she passed the board exam. Then she taught in private school until she worked in public school. According to my mother she did many hardwork before she became a public teacter but her inspiration was her family that's why she challenged herself. My mother is devouted public teacher but at home she's very responsible mother to us. Even she's busy for paper works she find time for us, she's very good in time arrangement that's why we never complain on her duties and obligation to us.

       Becoming an hero is not an easy task but we colud be a hero if we want. Just be confident, brave and challenge so that we can be a hero in a simple way.

"Wika ng Pagkakaisa"

   

   Sumapit na naman ang Buwan ng Agosto, at iisa lang naman ang agad na pumapasok sa ating isipan iyon ay ang "Buwan ng Wika" na may temang "Wika ng Pagkakaisa". Pero nagkakaisa nga ba tayong mga Pilipino?

       Sa kasalukuyan hindi natin masyadong pinapahalagahan ang wika natin, halimbawa na lamang ang mga Pilipinong nagpupunta sa ibang bansa, parang kinalimutan na nila ang ating sariling wika, ang hiling ko lang naman ay gamitin pa rin nila ang wika natin saan man sulok ng mundo sila naroroon, at kung uuwi man o magbabakasyon sila dito sa Pilipinas, dapat nilang gamitin ang wika natin, at hindi ibang lenggwahe para lamang magpabilib o magpahanga sa ibang tao. Sa tatlong malalaking pulo ng Pilipinas ang Luzon, Visayas, Mindano ay may iba't iba tayong gamit na dialekto, kung marining man natin ang ibang tao na iba ang salitang gamit, naguguluhan na tayo at hindi maintindihan, kaya nga dapat taong magkaisa sa paggamit ng wikang Filipino upang magkaintindihan tayo at makakatulong ito upang makahanap ng trabaho lalo na sa Maynila, mapapaunlad ang ating bansa at magkakasundo-sundo tayong mga Pilipino.

       Ang wika natin ay nagpapakita rin ng ating kultura, at kung ano ang lahi natin, naipapahayag rin natin ang ating tunay na niloloob at mga emosyon natin, nakakatulong din ito para mapaunlad natin ang ating bansa. Sabi nga ni Dr. Jose Rizal "ang hindi marunong magmahal sa sariling wika ay mas masahol pa sa malansang isda" , hindi maituturing na makabayan ang isang

tao kung ikinahihiya niya ang sariling wika. Tungkulin nating mga Pilipino ang gamitin at mahalin ang ating sariling wika. Kaya tayo'y magkaisa na gamitin ito, sapagkat nagpapakita ito ng isang makabayang Pilipino at naniniwala rin ako na ang buong sambayanan ay makakamit ang pagkakaisa gamit ang sariling wika tungo nsa kaunlaran.

My Reflection

       For the first quarter I gained a lot of knowledge, information experiences and problems. Problems which serves as a challenge for me to exert more effort in my studies and I'm blessed of having an intelligent teachers who are always there for us students to import and share all they know for our good.

       For the first quarter I met many problems about my studies especially in Mathematics and Science these are very interesting but it's hard, but I tried my best and exerted more time to these subject just to cope up. And I'm so thankful too because my friends are good in Math and they are always willing to help me. In spite of my problems I was happy too dealing with my friends and I met new classmates from other sections. Posting blog was also my very interesting experience for me because I can voice out my opinions to the public.

       For this coming second quarter how I wish I can gained again more knowledge, experiences, challenges which serve as my inspiration to become a good student.

       

The Fifth SONA of President Aquino

       Being President to our country  is not very easy task. His 6 years term as a president is not enough to implement his projects he want without the support and help of his subordinates and fellowmen.

       The SONA of our President was delivered last July 28, 2014. Many people waited this to know the plans of our President. Many of our  fellowmen was disappointed about the SONA because almost all of these are promises. He mentioned the quality of education, about the K to 12 but where was it, we are not improving.

       Our government now is becoming worst. The President can't do anymore about the graft and corruption which is the greatest cause of poverty that we are suffering. I just hope that he could do something about this problem before he will end his term as a President.

"Kalamidad Paghandaan Gutom at Malnutrisyon Agapan"

     Calamities were common to us, it affects us a lot including our health especially children. We are suffering lack of food, and poor quality of health. So what do you think we gonna do to avoid this situation?

In our Country---Philippines, floods, landslide, typhoon are very common to us, it affects us a lot including our shelter, things, work especially foods. Many of us Filipinos were suffering poor quality of health because of sickness, lack of nutritious food particularly at the Urban cities. Children is much affected in this situation especially to their health and growth. Because of our bad things we do to our environment like dumping garbage everywhere especially in the bodies of water, cutting down trees to our forest, it affects a lot especially when typhoon comes, it causes floods, landslide and lack of foods. Many of us especially children were starving and become malnourished and getting sick. As a Filipino citizen, let us help our environment to overcome from calamities, let's plant trees especially in the forest and vacant areas, avoid dumping garbage everywhere especially in the bodies of water, and let's do the re use, reduce, recycle process in our garbage because it helps a lot to reduce our garbage or waste. So that if typhoon comes again to our place, at least it lessen the affected people and places.

     I hope that we learn from our experience, let's make our country be ready in any calamities may come. 

A Letter for President of the Philippines

Dear Mr. President,

            Good day Mr. President, I am fourth year student at Ilocos Sur National High School Vigan City, your leadership as a president to our country is your brave, intelligent, and approchable person, you are very qualified and deserves your position you have now.

            Mr. President how I wish you give more importance to our teachers, the true heroes of our country because the future of the youth lies on their hands. Teachers are very intelligent they are good in many things, inside the classroom they are not just an ordinary teacher but they are also good nurse,our second parents and especially being an responsible parents with their own family. Teachers has many responsiblities to the youth, their task is so hard and they deserve a higher salary so that they will not always file a loan for their family. Increasing their salary helps them a lot and I will be thankful if you take a look about this matter.

            Once more thank you Sir and wishing and hoping that you will give importance on this request.
